Zitgist is firmly committed to open standards and the community process.  The era of closed systems is over.  Open systems and interoperability benefit from network effects that result from large and active communities.

Zitgist seeks partners with similar commitments.  

Zitgist believes in contributing its time and efforts to standards groups, development forums and ontologies supporting the ideals of open, interoperable data.  Zitgist contributes 15% of its staff time to such community efforts.

Zitgist is extending this commitment to its own technologies through open APIs, active blogging, and best practices guidelines.  Just as we have benefitted from standing on the shoulders of existing open source projects and data, Zitgist seeks to similarly repay the broader developer community via access to its own advances.
